2) ASSIGN YOURSELF: Persuasive Letter is TAKE home IA#1, PART 1. Using the terms listed from the past four weeks. STUDY FOR IA#1, Monday use Rags to Riches on blog. (5 MIN)

3) DO NOW: Read Handout about Persuasive Letter, while SUB is taking attendance (5 min)

4) IN CLASS Discuss the key parts of a persuasive letter -SEE SAMPLE ON BACK. Discuss and clarify any questions. (10 MIN)

5) Begin writing letter. You may use dictionary and thesaurus. (30 MIN)

• 5) STUDY GUIDE- As a class we will go through all 40 questions and discuss any questions about terms
• 6) SPIRAL/STUDY BUDDY GRADE-
• Students will pass their spiral to person on their right
• Classmate will grade questions 1-5 for classmate
• Pass back to student -EACH student will self assess by answering questions 1-9 and assign yourself a grade. -I WILL PICK UP AT DOOR!!
